Leading semiconductor company selects Steelwedge Software for Sales Forecasting and Planning

Enterprise-Enabled-Excel™ Collaborative Sales Forecasting and Account Planning Solution
to Go-Live in 90 Days 

Pleasanton, CA – January 18, 2007 – Steelwedge Software , the leader in Sales Planning and Performance Management solutions announced today a leading semiconductor manufacturing company has selected Steelwedge software for Collaborative Sales Forecasting and Planning.

The worldwide leader in programmable graphics processor technologies, is deploying Steelwedge to create a single sales forecasting and build planning environment to capture “real-time” OEM and customer demand.  Sales representatives will use Steelwedge to create and analyze sales forecasts, measuring performance against quota and actual results at any given point in time.

Steelwedge will be seamlessly integrated with SAP APO and SAP BW through the SAP Netweaver Platform.  The solution allows sales management to review, approve and adjust sales team plans.  Product Management will review market conditions to provide a product plan while the Business Operations group will be responsible for the build.  Dashboards are provided to sales representatives and executive management to track performance. 

Unlike an SFA or CRM system, used by sales management to manage pipeline and enforce a selling methodology, the Steelwedge sales forecasting and planning system is used to forecast from the customer/SKU level to provide visibility into expected demand and revenue by product.  Accurate, clear visibility into expected demand enables operations, finance and product management organizations evaluate potential issues between demand and supply or potential gaps between forecasted and expected margins.
