Steelwedge Names Andres Botero as Chief Marketing Officer and Danny Smith as Vice President, Industries
Pleasanton, CA – November 18, 2013 - Steelwedge, the leader in cloud-based sales and operations planning (S&OP) solutions, today announced that it has appointed Andres Botero as its Chief Marketing Officer and Danny Smith as its Vice President, Industries.
In his role as CMO, Andres Botero will be responsible for strategy, positioning, product marketing and marketing operations. Prior to joining Steelwedge, Botero served as the Global Lead for Supply Chain Management (SCM) Marketing at SAP AG, where he was responsible for strategy, positioning and overall marketing for SAP’s entire suite of supply chain management solutions including the SAP S&OP solution powered by HANA. Prior to SAP, Botero served as a sales operations executive with Siebel Systems, acquired by Oracle in 2006.
In his role as VP, Industries, Danny Smith will support Steelwedge customers in defining their integrated business planning (IBP) and sales and operations planning (S&OP) processes. In addition, he will be responsible for developing industry blueprints that leverage the cloud-based Steelwedge S&OP Platform. Smith joins Steelwedge from Oracle, where he was Executive Director for Supply Chain Management (SCM) solutions. While at Oracle, he served as a global solution champion for integrated business planning. During his 20-plus year career, Smith has held leadership positions in strategy consulting, product strategy and solution consulting.
